"the world has been invaded and defeated by an unknown species."

…from today's San Francisco Chronicle:

Prisoners

Editor - Thanks to Patricia Briggs for the moving article on the death of Tatiana ("Mourning the loss of Tatiana the tiger," Mar. 3).

I am reminded of an old episode of "The Twilight Zone" in which we see a man on display in a zoo-like setting. Apparently, the world has been invaded and defeated by an unknown species. This man has been put on display as a species of 20th century homo sapiens. The new world conquerors gaze at him in his facsimile living room, listen to his pleas for release and mock the sounds he makes. Some view him as a curiosity, some with amusement, others taunt and throw small objects to see him react in fear.

Could anyone doubt this man would be ready to kill, should he ever escape his imprisonment?
