they decided to do something about it

Bravo, Benjamin Potts and Briton Giles, for putting yourselves at risk to stop the Japanese fleet on its way to kill 1,000 whales, for the moment at least. Non-violently, too, as far as I can tell -- they came aboard the whaling ship to deliver a letter asking them to not kill whales, then the Japanese detained them and accused them of an act of "piracy." Well maybe that's what it was, but if that's technically true, then it should be OK to call the Japanese murderers for killing whales.

Now if those whale-loving Australians could just stop slaughtering kangaroos back at home, that would be nice.
